Describe a typical day at your job.
There is unfortunately no typical day at my job. No matter if I am in office or on business trip, I make many
phone calls for internal communication and coordination, for maintaining relationships with Chinese government officials and journalists, and to join conference calls with colleagues in different cities and countries.

What attracted you to your company and position? What is your favorite thing about your job?
Bertelsmann in China is growing fast and very successful. We have highly committed and entrepreneurial local management team. I feel inspired and obligated, trying my best to establish a very good image of Bertelsmann in China.
My job gives me a lot of opportunities to meet different people from different places and professions. I am always involved in very early stage of internal communication about developing new business models, new product lines or new investment of Bertelsmann in China. It gives me wonderful chances to enrich my business knowledge and guide me to develop new relationships with relevant government bodies and institutes.

What has been your most memorable moment (so far) in your job?
When I receiving a company gift rewarding my 15-year work at Bertelsmann in China

If you could meet anyone from history, living or dead, who would it be?
My first Chinese teacher, Mrs.Luo
She was pregnant when we became her pupils of grade 1 at the primary school. She loved every of us and we all liked her. We loved to come to school mostly because she was our class teacher. Every early morning, she welcomed her pupils at the entry gate of the school, every day after school she spent hours to help every child doing ‘homework’ in the classroom. She left us to give birth to her baby but never came back…

If I were a cartoon character, I would be:
the 8-year old boy Russell in the Disney film
